Peter Woods Painting Pty Ltd is an applicator of Hydron 300 Anti-Graffiti, and has applied it to the Cowandilla Primary School.
Hydron 300 Anti-Graffiti can protect brickwork for 10 years and more from the damages of graffiti vandalism. Combined with the advantage of being invisible, its non-sacrificial properties also mean that there is no expensive re-coat or substrate damage when graffiti is removed.
Brickwork can be utilised with the confidence that serious defacement will not damage a project. The main concern for Cowandilla Primary School was maintaining the pristine new look of the brickwork for the life of the project, and avoiding lasting graffiti damage.
Short of placing a cage around the complex at Cowandilla Primary School, there were few physical barriers to prevent vandalism. Instead Hydron 300 Anti-Graffiti was used in order to preserve the bricks natural quality, while still providing maximum protection.
Project Architect Simon Frost, having previous experience with Hydron 300 Anti-Graffiti, chose the product for its ability to allow graffiti to be easily removed without causing damage to the surface or leaving traces of graffiti know as 'ghosting'.
A large undertaking by Peter at Peter Woods Painting Pty Ltd was the paint work on the new retirement village; Barossa Village at Nuriootpa.
A former dam at Nuriootpa has been converted to the site of a new retirement village that provides residents with a warm feeling of being at home.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Kelvin Dickens says, "Barossa Village has embraced the Eden Alternative that focusses on a home-like environment and assisting residents to take control of their lives. The building design creates four houses with bed-sitting rooms for 20 people and ensuite bathrooms for each resident. Each house has a Study, Formal Lounge, kitchen and dining room as normally found in our own homes."
The new 80 bed state of the art facility, near the corner of Greenock Road and Moppa Road South, Nuriootpa, was built for Barossa Village Inc. by GCJ Constructions of Gawler and has a contract value of approx. $8,000,000.
